I've purposely chosen a simplistic life here in the country of East Texas. I migrated from the coastal plains of Texas, not far from Galveston, early in my adult life with my husband and one year old daughter. The darkness was looming over Houston and I did not feel safe, only trapped. We were young and mobile at that time and ET was to be a stepping stone.

We made a life, had another child, Benjamin, and parted ways after 17 years. I've yet to leave the area.

My children grew in grace and knowledge. Growing up with them was difficult and joyous. Corena flew the nest a few years ago and is my closest friend. Benjamin, the Old Testament "baby brother" died in early November of 2005.

You will know the things I love when you read my journal. Some persons are defined by the things they hate as well. Betrayal. Poverty. Psoriasis. Deception. Hopelessness. Apathy. Ego trips. Thorns. Schizophrenia. I could think of more but it would serve no purpose.

I believe in the Golden Rule for all humanity. I believe that there are spiritual realms yet undiscovered. I believe in mysteries of old and revelation of the new. I believe in miracles. I have two or three real friends that have taken time to look outside themselves to understand me. I am not complicated. Complex in some ways but transparent in others.

I'm simply a woman who has loved and been loved.

I work in town and enjoy my job. These past months my only desire is to work outdoors within the confines of 12 acres of yard and woods I share with a gentleman. I clear brush, plant anything I can get my hands on, and frequently just gaze at the sky.
